1984 - Madonna performs a sexually-charged rendition of "Like A Virgin" and writhes around on the stage in a wedding dress, setting the stage for all the Britneys, Mileys, Christinas and Gagas to come.

1992 - EPIC FAIL! Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic throws his bass in the air in a rock and roll fit, and then gets hit in the face with it.

1994 - Michael Jackson plants a kiss on Lisa Marie Presley to prove their love. But Lisa Marie later told Rolling Stone, "That was not my idea, by the way. I was terrified. It was his manager’s idea. I thought it was stupid. All of a sudden I became part of a public relations machine."

1999 - Diana Ross grabs Lil' Kim's boob on stage. It's hard to decide what's more shocking: The fact that Diana Ross jiggled Kim's bare breast or the fact that her breast was bare to begin with.

2000 - In a seeming fit of, uh, rage? Tim Bob of Rage Against the Machine ruins Limp Bizkit's acceptance speech when he climbs up on the props on stage. Skip to the :38 mark. (WARNING: Some offensive language)

2002 - AWKWARD! Michael Jackson accepts what he thinks is the Artist of the Millenium Award from Britney Spears, but it's really just a "Happy Birthday":

2003 - Madonna shocks everyone when she locks lips with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera during their performance. Justin Timberlake's face is priceless!

2006 - OK Go performs their famous treadmill choreography to their song "Here It Goes Again" live.

2007 - In a failed comeback attempt, Britney Spears bombs her show-opening performance of "Gimme More."

2007 (Bonus!) - Kid Rock and Tommy Lee duke it out, ending in both of them getting thrown out a misdemeanor battery charge for Kid Rock. Geez, Pam, what'd you do???

2009 - Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift's acceptance speech... and the rest is history!
